The Get Scanned Scan-Van

Meet Steve, the Scan-Man in the Scan-Van

Founder and operator of Get Scanned

A career built on understanding the human body

Hi, I’m Steve Burden. Every scan, every consultation, every kilometre of the Scan-Van: that’s me. No call centre, no rotating staff, no franchise. You book a scan, I show up. Thirteen years as a Registered Nurse, 13,000+ Personal Training sessions, and over 30,000 scans across Victoria sit behind every appointment.

Nursing came first. I spent 13 years as a Registered Nurse across General and Specialty settings, including Research, Education, and senior Consulting roles. That’s where I learned to read a body objectively, communicate clearly under pressure, and respect the difference between what people think is happening and what the data shows.

Personal Training came next. In 2009 I left nursing to launch my first PT business: private studio sessions and outdoor group programs. Over the years that followed I personally delivered more than 13,000 one-on-one sessions. You don’t run that many without learning how bodies actually respond to training, nutrition, and time.

Get Scanned is where the two paths meet. In 2014 I shifted from training people to measuring them. I believe in prevention over cure, and I believe most people are flying blind on their own body composition and metabolism. Medical-grade technology fixes that. The InBody 970 and ECAL give you objective data, and my job is to help you understand what it means and what to do about it.
